Allied Bank Limited recently inaugurated 3 branches in Lahore, enhancing its network to 837 branches in Pakistan, offering real-time online services. The inaugurations took place at the University of Lahore, N Block, Jauhar Town and Mughalura, Lahore, which were jointly performed by Mr. Naeem Mukhtar, Chairman; Mr. Waseem Mukhtar, Director; and Mr. Khalid A. Sherwani, CEO, Allied Bank. Also present on the occasion were Sheikh Jalees Ahmed, Director; Mr. Zia Ijaz, Group Chief, Commercial & Retail Banking Group (CRBG); and Mr. Saif Ul Islam, Group Head, CRBG, Allied Bank.
Since taking over the management control of the Bank in 2004, the current management group has been laying emphasis on not only increasing its branch network but also renovating the old branches for enhanced customer experience, backed by state-of-the-art technology platform and improved service standards. In 2011 alone, the Bank added 31 new branches to its network, whereas 418 branch premises have so far been upgraded on international standards. In order to facilitate lady customers, the Bank also operates separate “all female branches” in Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad.
Allied Bank stands second on the list of having the largest network of ATMs. Presently, the Bank has a network of more than 600 ATMs, spread across 300 cities and towns of Pakistan.
