Islamabad, April 26, 2012: Allied Bank Limited recently inaugurated 2 branches in Islamabad, enhancing its network to 837 branches in Pakistan, offering real-time online services. The first ever “All Females” branch was inaugurated at DHA Phase I, Rawalpindi Cantt by renowned television artist, Ms. Laila Zubairi in presence of Mr. Waseem Mukhtar, Director Allied Bank; Mr. Zia Ijaz, Group Chief, Commercial & Retail Banking Group; Mr. Shahid Amir, Group Head, North, Allied Bank, other senior management of the Bank and dignitaries of the area. Soan Gardens, Islamabad branch was also inaugurated on the same day.
Allied Bank has been rapidly expanding its branch network whereas old branches are being renovated to provide best customer experience in a uniform way. The Bank has been focusing on creating an enabling environment for the banking needs of all segments of the society, including women. As of now, the Bank has opened All Female branches in Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad and Islamabad, which not only make women customers feel at home but are also engagedin various in-house events relating to education, healthcare, and arts and crafts.
Since taking over the management control of the Bank in 2004, the management has been laying emphasis on not only increasing its branch network but also renovating the old branches for enhanced customer experience, backed by state-of-the-art technology platform and improved service standards. In 2011 alone, the Bank added 31 new branches to its network, whereas 418 branch premises have so far been upgraded on international standards.
Allied Bank has one of the largest networks of over 600 ATMs, spread across all cities and towns of Pakistan.
