Allied Bank Collaborates with PMAS – Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi for Hydroponics

As a responsible financial institution, Allied Bank continues to support the farming community through tailor-made financial products, while recognizing the valuable contributions of research institutions in advancing agricultural methods.

Research Collaboration on Hydroponics

To promote diversification in the agriculture sector and the adoption of state-of-the-art farming techniques, ABL has entered into a collaboration with Pir Mehr Ali Shah (PMAS) Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi. This partnership focuses on conducting research into the viability of hydroponic farming in Pakistan, utilizing alternative energy resources for sustainable cultivation.

Donation of Solar Grid System Under CSR

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and in support of the hydroponic research project, Allied Bank has donated a 10 KW Solar Grid Sharing System to PMAS – Arid University. This system will power the university’s greenhouse hydroponic setup.
