The Investor Portfolio of Securities (IPS) Account allows Allied Bank customers to invest in Government of Pakistan (GoP) securities, including Treasury Bills (T-Bills) and Pakistan Investment Bonds (PIBs), as permitted by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). This service is available to all ABL clients maintaining a PKR Current or Savings Account.
In line with SBP guidelines, all banks are permitted to offer Investor Portfolio of Securities (IPS) accounts to their customers, enabling them to buy and sell Government of Pakistan (GoP) securities. Allied Bank facilitates this by providing IPS account services to all eligible clients.
To open an IPS account:
Customers must have a PKR Current/Savings Account with ABL.
If not already an account holder, the client must first open a PKR Current or Savings Account with ABL before proceeding to open an IPS account.
