In these Terms and Conditions:

  • “Account” means the bank account held or to be held with the Bank in the name of the Cardholder (whether solely or jointly with another person), the number of which is or shall be specified in the application form for the Card and communicated to the Cardholder as appropriate.

  • “Bank” means Allied Bank Limited.

  • “Branch” means the branch of Allied Bank Limited that holds the Cardholder’s Account.

  • “Card” means the Allied UPI/PayPak co-badged Debit Card or Allied Basic Debit Card, including any replacement thereof.

  • “Cardholder” means the person to whom the Allied UPI/PayPak co-badged Debit Card or Allied Basic Debit Card is issued, and who has the sole authority to operate the Account in accordance with the Bank’s mandate.

  • “PayPak” means the domestic payment scheme owned and operated by 1LINK (Pvt.) Ltd, duly approved by the State Bank of Pakistan.

  • “UPI” means the international payment scheme owned and operated by China UnionPay International.

  • “PIN” means the Personal Identification Number, or an encrypted number, which the Cardholder uses from time to time with the Card. It includes the Telephone Personal Identification Number (TPIN), where the context so permits.

  • “Transaction” means any cash withdrawal or payment made using the Card or Biometric, or any refund arising in connection with the use of the Card or Biometric in any authorised manner for debit or credit to the Account.

  • “Biometric” means access to the ATM using a thumb impression.

  • “e-Commerce” means the act of making payments for online purchases. It refers to electronic commerce and includes both Internet and mobile commerce.

The Card or Biometric may be used to withdraw cash from any Automated Teller Machine (ATM) or to access additional banking services offered through ATMs (e.g., local fund transfers between accounts, utility bill payments, and other value-added services).

The Card may also be used for payments of goods and/or services:

  • Internationally, where the UPI logo is displayed

  • Locally, where the PayPak logo is displayed

provided the merchant accepts the Card, and subject to compliance with applicable UPI and PayPak rules and regulations as amended from time to time.

The Cardholder may also avail of other Digital Banking services in accordance with the Bank’s mandate, including but not limited to:

These services shall be available only if the Cardholder subscribes or opts in according to the Bank’s prevailing procedures.

The Bank may activate Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) services only for those payment instruments and channels where the customer’s prior consent has been obtained.

If the Cardholder uses the Card for payments in foreign currency (e.g., international ATM withdrawals, POS purchases, or e-Commerce transactions), the Cardholder will also be liable for currency conversion charges and service fees, which will be applied at the time of the transaction.

Disclaimer: The Bank makes no warranty and assumes no liability for any limitation on the availability or conversion of foreign exchange, whether imposed by the State Bank of Pakistan or otherwise.

Important: The Allied Basic Debit Card cannot be used outside Pakistan or for online/e-Commerce transactions.

The Bank will issue a Card only after the Cardholder has:

  • Duly completed the application form

  • Agreed to these Terms and Conditions

  • Accepted the Terms and Conditions applicable to bank accounts

Issuance is subject to the Bank’s approval.

Opening and maintaining a bank account with the Bank is a prerequisite for issuance of the Card or for use of the Biometric facility.
