Method 2: How to Open a Bank Account at an Allied Bank Branch

Prefer to do it in person? Allied Bank has more than 1,400 branches across Pakistan — from major cities to rural towns. A banking officer will guide you through the full account opening process at the counter.

Use the branch and ATM locator to find the nearest Allied Bank branch before you visit.

Before You Visit, Have These Ready:
  • Original CNIC (the officer will view it; keep copies for submission)
  • 2 passport-size photographs
  • Proof of income — a job letter, salary slip or business letter (not required for Asaan Account variants)
  • Your NTN, if applicable
  • An initial deposit (amount varies by account type — confirm with the branch)

1
Visit Your Nearest Allied Bank Branch
Walk into any Allied Bank branch during banking hours. Branches are typically open Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on Saturdays until 1:00 pm in most locations. Confirm hours with your specific branch.
2
Speak to the Account Opening Officer
Approach the customer service or account opening counter and let the officer know you’d like to open an account. They’ll ask about your requirements and recommend the account type that suits your needs.
3
Fill in the Account Opening Form
The officer will provide you with the account opening form. Fill in your personal details — name, father’s name, date of birth, CNIC number, address, mobile number, occupation and account preferences. The officer will assist if you have questions.
4
Submit Your Documents
Hand over your documents:
  • CNIC original (for verification) and a copy (for the file)
  • 2 passport-size photographs
  • Proof of income — if required for your chosen account type
  • Signature specimen on the form
  • Any additional documents the officer requests based on your account type
5
Biometric Verification
The branch will conduct biometric verification through NADRA’s system using your fingerprints. This is a mandatory step for all account openings in Pakistan under SBP’s KYC requirements. The verification typically takes a few minutes.
6
Make Your Initial Deposit
If your chosen account requires an opening deposit, make the payment at the teller counter. The amount varies by account type. Asaan Account variants typically have no or minimal opening deposit requirements.
7
Collect Your Application Reference
Once your form and documents are submitted, the officer will provide you with a reference number. Your application goes through Allied Bank’s internal review and compliance process.
8
Receive Your Account Details
Once your account is activated, Allied Bank will notify you — typically by SMS or a call from the branch. You’ll receive your account number and can collect your debit card from the branch, or request that it be mailed to your registered address.
9
Activate myABL
Log in to myABL — Allied Bank’s internet and mobile banking platform — to manage your account digitally from day one. Through myABL, you can transfer money, pay bills, check your balance and access RAAST — Pakistan’s instant payment system.

What Happens After You Submit Your Application?

Allied Bank reviews every application as part of its compliance and KYC verification process. You'll receive updates by email (online applicants) or by call or SMS (branch applicants). Once approved, your account is activated, and your debit card is issued.
