The account holder/successor of unclaimed deposit who wish to file refund unclaimed deposit, please follow the steps below:
- Visit the concerned ABL branch where the account was originally opened or the financial instrument was payable.
- If the parent branch is closed or relocated, approach the nearest branch of the ABL. In case of mergers or acquisitions, visit the nearest branch of the ABL to initiate the refund claim.
- Submit a refund claim application to the bank branch along with the following documents:
- Original signed application detailing the account information.
- Copy of a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) or equivalent identification.
- Indemnity Bond (specific format will be provided by ABL branch) required in case of deceased customers, if amount of refund claimed involved up-to Rs.100,000/-
- In case of deceased account holders, a succession certificate issued by a competent court of law or NADRA.
Upon due verification and processing by ABL branch, the refund claim shall forward to SBP for further processing and refund.
