ABL won the 1st prize in the recently held event, “Handholding of SMEs through SME Finance One Window Operation”, on 22nd January 2020, organized by SBP, BSC Hyderabad. The event was planned to provide an avenue for both SMEs & FIs to interact with each other and to facilitate SMEs to lodge loan applications with commercial banks; especially under SBP’s refinance schemes.
14 Banks other than ABL including NBP, HBL, UBL, MCB, Bank Alfalah and Meezan Bank also participated. Additionally, officials from various SMEs who intended to avail Banking facilities, along with SMEDA, SECP, SSIC (Sindh Small Industries Corporation), SEDF (Sindh Enterprise Development Fund), UNISAME (Union of Small & Medium Enterprise) and PCGC (Pakistan Credit Guarantee Company), also attended the event.
ABL’s representatives from Business (including conventional & Islamic banking), Operations, Risk Management & ITG were present to facilitate the SMEs through ABL’s Mobile Banking Unit – One Window Operations. The Mobile Van is specially designed to offer facilities such as Cash withdrawal through ATM, Cash Collection, Utility Bill Collection, payment of Home Remittances & account opening from remote location.
The teams also offered special facilities for opening of Business Accounts of intending borrowers and e-CIB check was also made available at the site to facilitate the SMEs
