Overview – Islamic Treasury

The Treasury Group’s (TG) Islamic Desk is primarily responsible for managing ABL’s Islamic liquidity requirements. It deals exclusively in Shariah-compliant treasury products and actively participates in the interbank market, while also supporting Islamic branches and customers with their daily transactional needs.

The desk also provides foreign exchange (FX) rates and Sukuk portfolio pricing to Islamic Banking branches and clients. To mitigate foreign exchange risk, a Shariah-compliant Forward Cover product (Wa’ad) is offered in accordance with Islamic principles.

  • Placement/acceptance of funds in the interbank market via Wakala, Mudarabah, Musharakah, and Bai-Muajjal

  • Outright sale/purchase of sukuks

  • Price quotations for buying/selling Ijarah Sukuk

  • IPS custodial services
