Asaan Accounts — Simplified Requirements
The Allied Asaan Account is designed for financial inclusion. It requires only your CNIC or SNIC — no income proof, no salary slip. This makes it ideal for first-time banking customers or those without formal employment documents.
Other Common Documents
Beyond identity and income, Allied Bank may also ask for:
Digital Account Opening — myPakistan Digital Account
ABL’s myPakistan Digital Account lets resident Pakistanis open an account entirely online. No branch visit is needed.
Documents required for digital account opening:
- Valid CNIC or SNIC — front and back, scanned or photographed clearly.
- Live photograph — captured digitally via your device’s camera during the application.
- Proof of income — a job letter, salary slip or business letter. Not required for the Asaan Account variant.
- National Tax Number (NTN) — if applicable.
- Signature specimen — required if you opt for a cheque book.
- Mobile number and email address for OTP verification.
Roshan Digital Account — Documents for Overseas Pakistanis
The Roshan Digital Account is an SBP initiative for Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs). It can be opened from anywhere in the world — no branch visit required.
Documents required for an RDA application:
- CNIC, NICOP or POC (scanned copy).
- Valid passport with entry and exit stamps.
- Proof of non-resident status (e.g., visa, residency permit or work permit).
- Proof of profession or income (job certificate or recent salary slips).
- Live photo taken via webcam during the application.
- Scanned signature.
All documents are submitted digitally through the RDA portal at rda.abl.com.
Minor and Youth Accounts
The Allied Rising Star Account is ABL’s savings account for children. It’s opened and managed by a parent or guardian.
Documents needed:
- Child’s B-Form or Juvenile Card.
- Guardian’s valid CNIC or SNIC.
- Guardian’s proof of income.
The Allied Youth Account is for customers between 18 and 35 years of age. Requirements are similar to a standard individual account, with age verification as an added step.
The Allied Youth Asaan Account is available to the same age group — 18 to 35 — but with simplified documentation. No income proof is needed. It’s suited for young customers opening their first bank account with minimal paperwork.
Business and Corporate Accounts
Business accounts require more documentation than personal ones. The exact list depends on the business structure.
Core documents for business account opening include:
- Valid CNICs of all owners, partners or directors.
- Entity formation documents — such as a certificate of incorporation, memorandum of association or partnership deed.
- Proof of business activity and income.
- National Tax Number (NTN) or tax registration certificate.
- Additional regulatory documents as required by ABL’s compliance team.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is the most important document to open an Allied Bank account?
A valid CNIC or SNIC is the single most important document. Without it, account opening cannot proceed for resident Pakistanis. Overseas customers may use a NICOP or POC instead.
Q. Can I open an ABL account without visiting a branch?
Yes. The myPakistan Digital Account and the Roshan Digital Account can both be opened entirely online. Resident Pakistanis use the myABL app or portal. Overseas Pakistanis apply through rda.abl.com.
Q. Does Allied Bank require proof of income for all accounts?
No. The Allied Asaan Account is specifically designed for customers without formal income documents. It requires only a CNIC or SNIC, with no income proof needed.
Q. What documents does a minor need to open an account?
A minor needs a B-Form or Juvenile Card. The parent or guardian must also provide their valid CNIC and proof of income. The account is managed by the guardian until the child comes of age.
Q. How long does it take for an account to open at a branch?
It depends on the account type. The Asaan Account opens immediately after submission. Standard accounts go through Allied Bank's internal review and compliance process, which typically takes up to 2 working days. Having your documents ready before you apply saves time and avoids delays.
