The Low Income Roshan Digital Account is available for:

  • Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs) above the age of 18

  • Foreign Nationals with Pakistan Origin Card (POC)

  • Employees or officials of Federal or Provincial Governments posted abroad

  • Resident Pakistanis who have declared foreign-held assets in their FBR tax return

  • CNIC / NICOP / POC (Scanned Copy)

  • Scanned photocopies of passport and/or documents proving non-resident status (e.g., iqama or contract)

  • Live/digital photo via webcam

  • Signature (scanned on white paper)

  • Declaration/undertaking regarding profession and source of funds

  • Account processing can proceed without email if unavailable to the customer

Q1. What is the difference between Roshan Digital Account and Low-Income RDA?

Simplified Roshan Digital Account is designed with simplified requirements and documentation to meet the basic banking needs of our customers up to a maximum credit limit of USD 5,000 or equivalent.

Q2. Will I have to obtain any approval for sending funds from my RDA account to abroad?

No, you don’t require any prior approval. You are free to send funds into your Low-Income Roshan Digital Account through any bank or exchange company overseas, up to a maximum of USD 5,000 or equivalent.

Q3. Kindly confirm the process of Joint Account opening procedure of both applicants?

Customer will input details and applicable documents of all joint account holders on the onboarding portal. Once submitted, the application will be reviewed by the Centralized Desk.

Q4. Documentation required for joint account holder to be submitted?

All documents as required from the primary applicant will also be required for the joint account holder.

Q5. Who will receive confirmation/KYC/DAO officer call backs in joint account scenario?

A link will be sent to the verified email address provided by the customer. All joint account holders must be available on the call as per the scheduled time.

Q6. Is FATCA confirmation necessary?

Yes, the customer will confirm their FATCA status during the onboarding request. It will be displayed to you during the onboarding journey.

Q7. At what time will a bank representative call me, as I reside in a different time zone?

At the end of the onboarding journey, you will select a convenient time for a video call. The bank representative will conduct a recorded video call using the provided link.

Q8. What is the TAT for account regularization?

For RDA, the Turnaround Time (TAT) for account review and KYC completion is 48 hours from submission of the onboarding application.

Q9. What is the TAT for Cheque Book and Debit Card delivery?

Once your account is opened and funds are available, the cheque book and ATM/Debit Card (if requested) will be dispatched to your registered address via courier.

Q10. What if I close the onboarding portal before completing the application?

No worries. The system will save your progress. You just need to fill in the basic details, and the system will return you to the last saved step.

Q11. How much time does it take to complete the onboarding application?

It typically takes 15–20 minutes if you have the required documents ready beforehand.

Q12. Can I edit or update information before submitting the application?

Yes. A ‘Back’ button is available at each step to amend previous fields. Additionally, a review screen is provided before submission.

Q13. When will the bank inform me about the status of my application?

You will receive email updates at three stages:

  • Upon submission of application

  • After successful review by the bank

  • Upon successful opening of the account

Q14. Through which medium will the bank send the OTP?

To validate information, OTP will be sent to your email address at the start and again during the final submission of the application.

Q15. How long is the OTP valid for?

The OTP is valid for 5 minutes.

Q16. How will I make investment in the Naya Pakistan Certificate?

After successful account opening, you will create a password for a dedicated transaction portal through which you can initiate Naya Pakistan Certificate investments.

Q17. Can I invest in Islamic Naya Pakistan Certificates as well?

Yes. The bank offers investments in both conventional and Islamic Naya Pakistan Certificates.

Q18. Can I open a Low-Income RDA account in a currency other than Pakistani Rupee?

Yes. You can open your RDA in PKR, USD, GBP, or Euro with Allied Bank.

Q19. How can I activate my Debit Card?

After receiving the card, call the ABL Helpline at +92 21 35301094 from your registered number for activation.

Q20. How can I access funds available in my Low-Income Roshan Digital Account?

You can access your account globally via Mobile App or Internet Banking for local transfers, bill payments, and mobile top-ups. You can also use your debit card and cheque book for these services.
