The Roshan Digital Account is available to:

  • Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs) aged 18 years or above

  • Foreign Nationals holding a Pakistan Origin Card (POC)

  • Employees or officials of the Federal or Provincial Government posted abroad

  • Resident individuals who have declared foreign-held assets in their latest wealth statement submitted to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)

Through the Roshan Digital Account, customers can invest in:

  • CNIC / NICOP / POC (scanned copy)

  • Passport (Pakistani and/or foreign) with entry/exit stamp pages (scanned copy)

  • Live/digital photo via webcam

  • Signature scanned on plain white paper

  • Proof of non-resident status

  • Proof of profession and source of income/funds (e.g., job certificate, salary slips, rental agreement, or other applicable income proof)

Q1. Do I need approval to send funds abroad from my RDA account?

No, you do not require any approval for international fund transfers.

Q2. What is the process for Joint Account opening?

Customers must enter details and upload required documents for all joint account holders in the onboarding portal. The application will be reviewed by the Centralized Desk.

Q3. What documents are required for joint account holders?

All documents required from the primary applicant must also be submitted for each joint holder.

Q4. Who will receive confirmation/KYC/DAO officer callbacks in a joint account?

A link will be sent to the verified email address. All joint holders must be present during the scheduled video call.

Q5. Is FATCA confirmation required?

Yes, FATCA status confirmation is mandatory during the onboarding journey and will be prompted accordingly.

Q6. Will the bank call me at a convenient time considering time zone differences?

Yes. At the end of onboarding, you can select a convenient time for your recorded video call with the bank representative.

Q7. What is the TAT (Turnaround Time) for account regularization?

TAT for account review and KYC is 48 hours from the submission of the onboarding application.

Q8. What is the TAT for cheque book and debit card delivery?

Once your account is opened and funded, the cheque book and ATM debit card (if requested) will be couriered to your registered address.

Q9. What happens if I close the portal before completing the application?

No issue. The system saves your basic information, and you can resume from where you left off.

Q10. How much time does it take to complete the onboarding application?

It typically takes 15–20 minutes, assuming all required documents are prepared beforehand.

Q11. Can I update my information before submitting the application?

Yes. A ‘Back’ button is available at each step, and a review screen appears before final submission.

Q12. How will I be informed about the status of my application?

You’ll be notified via email at the time of submission, review, and account opening.

Q13. How is the OTP sent, and when?

To validate your information, OTP will be sent to your email address at the start and at final submission.

Q14. How long is the OTP valid?

OTP remains valid for 5 minutes.

Q15. How do I invest in Naya Pakistan Certificates?

After opening your Roshan Digital Account, you will set up a password for the investment portal, where you can request investment in NPCs.

Q16. Can I invest in Islamic Naya Pakistan Certificates?

Yes. Both conventional and Islamic NPCs are available.

Q17. Can I open an RDA in a foreign currency?

Yes. You can open an account in PKR, USD, GBP, and EUR.

Q18. How do I activate my Debit Card?

Call the ABL Helpline at +92 21 35301094 from your registered number for activation.

Q19. Can I open an RDA if I already have an ABL account?

Yes. Existing ABL customers are also eligible to open a Roshan Digital Account.

Q20. How can I access funds in my RDA?

You can access funds via mobile app or Internet Banking for local fund transfers, mobile top-ups, bill payments, and by using the Debit Card or cheque book.
