Chairman / Non-Executive Sponsor Director

Mr. Mohammad Naeem Mukhtar has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank since 2004. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Cardiff Business School, United Kingdom; a Postgraduate Diploma in Textiles from the United Kingdom; and a Chartered Textile Engineer (CText ATI) certification from The Textile Institute in Manchester, United Kingdom.

He has over thirty-nine years of experience in finance and industrial manufacturing. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Ibrahim Fibres Limited, Ibrahim Holdings (Private) Limited, and Ibrahim Welfare Foundation. Additionally, he serves on the Boards of Ibrahim Agencies (Private) Limited, ABL Asset Management Company Limited, Karachi Education Initiative, and the Pakistan German Business Forum.

Mr. Mukhtar is a member of the Board of Governors of the National Management Foundation, the parent body of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He also represents the Bank at the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) and serves as Industry Co-Chair for the Banking Sector of the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Corporate Advisory Council, as well as a Senior Fellow at the Global Think Tank Network (GTTN).

Non-Executive Sponsor Director

Mr. Muhammad Waseem Mukhtar has served on the Board of Directors of the Bank since 2004. His academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Illinois, USA, and a Master’s degree in Total Quality Management (TQM) from the University of Glamorgan, Wales, United Kingdom.

With twenty-seven years of diverse experience in finance, information technology, and industry, he has played a pivotal role in guiding the Bank’s strategic initiatives, especially in technological upgradation.

He is a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance. In addition to his role at the Bank, he serves on the Boards of Ibrahim Fibres Limited, Ibrahim Holdings (Private) Limited, Ibrahim Agencies (Private) Limited, Ibrahim Welfare Foundation, and ABL Asset Management Company Limited.

Executive Director

Ms. Sarah Naeem is an Executive Director and Board Member of the Bank. She is part of the next generation of leadership within the Ibrahim Group and is actively involved across banking, industrial manufacturing, and strategic transformation initiatives.

She also serves as a Director at Ibrahim Fibres Limited, a leading polyester fibre and yarn manufacturer with integrated power generation and advanced automation capabilities. Within the Group, she works closely on strategy, branding, sustainability, and long-term institutional positioning across both industrial and financial services businesses.

Ms. Naeem holds a Graduate Diploma in Global Business from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a Master’s degree in Digital Management from Teesside University, United Kingdom. Her academic background also includes a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the State University of New York, Buffalo, and a Diploma in Design Communication from LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore.

She has completed advanced executive and scenario planning programs through the University of Oxford, with a focus on strategic foresight, risk, and decision-making under uncertainty.

At the Bank, Ms. Naeem contributes to initiatives spanning marketing strategy, brand and customer experience, sustainability, and financial inclusion, with a particular interest in women’s leadership and purpose-driven growth.

Ms. Naeem brings an internationally informed, cross-sectoral perspective to the Board, with a focus on long-term value creation, institutional resilience, and responsible governance.

Non-Executive Director

Mr. Zafar Iqbal is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). He has thirty-nine years of experience in senior management roles across the financial and power generation sectors.

He served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Pak Oman Investment Company Limited, a Development Finance Institution jointly owned by the Governments of Pakistan and the Sultanate of Oman. During his eight-year tenure at the institution, he led it to become a leader among its peers.

Over the past twenty-three years, he has served on the Boards of numerous listed and unlisted companies and financial institutions. He is a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.

His areas of specialization include investment banking, corporate finance, capital markets, leasing, aircraft financing, and energy and power generation. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Bank since August 2015.

Independent Director

Ms. Nazrat Bashir belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service and retired in BPS-22 from government service. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from New York University, USA, and a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Peshawar. She is also a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.

With over thirty-six years of diversified civil service experience, she has held key positions including Additional Finance Secretary at the Finance Division, Managing Director of the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority, and Senior Advisor at the Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat.

She has also served as a director in various government and semi-government organizations and participated in numerous conferences and seminars in Pakistan and abroad.

She currently serves as a member of the Certification Panel of the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy and has been on the Board of Directors of the Bank since August 2018.

Independent Director

Mr. Muhammad Kamran Shehzad has over forty-nine years of experience in banking, finance, and accounting. He has spent more than thirty-six years in senior leadership roles within commercial banks and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), where he served as Deputy Governor and Managing Director of SBP Banking Services Corporation.

He also served as Banking Mohtasib Pakistan, where he resolved complex banking disputes. He holds an MBA degree with specialization in Finance.

As an Independent Director, Mr. Shehzad currently chairs the Audit Committee of the Board. He is a certified director from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.

Independent Director

Mian Ikram Ul Haq’s career spans over five decades in banking and finance. He has held key roles across major financial institutions in Pakistan and abroad.

He has served on the Boards of Ibrahim Fibres Limited and the Industrial Development Bank of Pakistan. His qualifications include an MBA in International Business and Finance from the University of Hartford, USA; a Bachelor of Laws from Punjab University; and specialized training from prestigious institutions worldwide.

He is also a Certified Director from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Aizid Razzaq Gill is a seasoned banker with twenty-eight years of experience in financial management, risk analysis & research, and portfolio management in corporate and commercial banking.

He joined the Bank in 2005 as Regional Corporate Head and has since held various senior roles including Head – Commercial Assets, Head of Commercial & Retail Risk, Group Head – Corporate & Financial Institutions Risk, and Group Head – Liabilities. Prior to becoming CEO, he served as the Chief Risk Officer of the Bank.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore; an MBA from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), USA; and a Master’s in Business Economics from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), UK, as a Chevening Scholar.

He has completed executive programs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Columbia University, and London Business School.

Mr. Gill also serves as a Director at ABL Asset Management Company and represents the Bank at MAP and PBC. He is a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.
